Everything you see on display here has been handmade
or hand finished. The textiles are mostly natural- be it cotton,
wool
or silk and the colours are mainly vegetable dyes. All embroidery
is done by hand. We have endeavoured to keep the quality of
all items - big or small, the very best. It must however be
stated that an irregular finish is a characteristic of hand
made textiles - they can never attain the smooth perfection
of machine made fabrics. According to legend, all master craftsmen
deliberately leave a minute flaw because only God could be
perfect! We think that this lends to the overall charm, and
that you go away with the feeling that the piece you have is
one of a kind - flaws notwithstanding - it can never be replicated.
Our
website is updated on a regular basis, and we shall try to get
new lines and promotions to you ever so often. As most
of our shawls are one off pieces, once an item is sold, it
is immediately replaced by another on the site.
